Integrating Preconception Care Into Your Practice

Announcing a free training on "Integrating Preconception Care into Your Practice" on October 24th December 15th at CFHC's Los Angeles office.

Please note: the Preconception Care training has been rescheduled for December 15th, 2008.

Research shows that providing women with preconception care improves birth outcomes and the health of women. Join us for a 3-hour workshop on integrating preconception and inter-conception care into family planning visits.

Funding provided by March of Dimes, California Chapter.

Workshop Objectives

  • Discuss the rationale for integrating preconception and inter-conception into family planning services
  • Identify strategies for implementing preconception and inter-conception care

Continuing Medical Education

CME and Nursing Contact Hours are available for $15.00.

Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Midwives

The California Family Health Council is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality and the California Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  CFHC takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this CME activity.

CFHC designates this educational activity for a maximum of 3.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM . Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certification in Continuing Medical Education.

Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP12241 for up to 3.3 contact hours.
